Westminster Communities of Florida is governed by members of the Board of Directors which is elected from within Florida for an initial three year term and may be reelected for two subsequent three-year terms. Officers of the corporation are elected by the Board and continue in office until their successors are selected. Officers may, but need not, be members of the Board.
The Board of Directors seeks to interpret the needs of the organization through the formulation, adoption, and evaluation of broad general policies necessary to direct the affairs of the organization. The Board is divided into six Regional Committees whose members are responsible for the needs and operation of the communities within its geographical area. These regional committees may bring to the Board the need for any new policy or program, or modification of an existing policy in accordance with changing needs. The Regional Committees review the proposed annual budget and rate increases for its respective communities for recommendation to the full Board of Directors.
