Benevolent Assistance Fund

This fund provides the safety net for those residents whose financial resources have not kept up with the cost of living.  Many have outlived their resources.  The Benevolent Assistance Fund provides financial assistance when all other resources have been expended.

Annually the Caring for Generations offering helps to support the Benevolent Assistance Fund.

Benevolent Assistance Endowment Fund

Gifts to this Endowment Fund are held and invested in perpetuity.  The earnings from this Endowment are used to support the financial needs of residents who have outlived their financial resources.

Community Enhancements

Each residential community has its unique environment and atmosphere.  Foundation gifts allow special projects to be completed in each community that enhances the comfort, welfare, and enjoyment of the residents.  Projects such as:

• Bird sanctuaries
• A butterfly garden
• A portable dance floor
• New stained glass for a meditation room
• Enhanced libraries
• Wellness centers
• A scholarship fund for nursing students
• A scholarship fund for employees who are students

Volunteering

Westminster Retirement Communities Foundation enjoys opportunities to be of service in the various communities.  Helping with special events, distribution of information to other residents, planning for annual activities are just some of the places for residents to be of special help.  Contact the Development Officer in your community to offer your services.

Honorable Service Grants

Ministers and professional church workers may be eligible to receive an Honorable Service Grant in order to enjoy a secure, fulfilling retirement.   For those who have served the Church, these grants are a way to say "thank you" for years of service, often at low-income scales.
