Westminster is pleased to announce this significant achievement, which reflects our excellent financial health. Recognition was long overdue for Westminster Oaks resident Virginia Wise. During World War II, she served as a member of the Women's Air Force Service Pilots — WASPs — the first American females to fly military planes, ferrying them to military bases and training male aviation troops. With family by her side, Virginia was one of 180 surviving members to receive the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian honor, in a special ceremony at the U.S. Capitol. We congratulate Virginia and thank her for her great service to our nation.

Westminster Canterbury, a faith-based community sponsored by the Episcopal Church in Daytona Beach, has received approval from U. S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to begin leasing to adults age 55 and over.  For the next three years Westminster Communities of Florida will have increased flexibility in leasing to low-income adults in this age bracket at this community. We're Growing! Latest Developments

Palm View, Westminster Palms' new acquisition with spectacular views of beautiful Tampa Bay, is attracting a lot of interest. The 14-story building is being extensively renovated and will provide wonderful new apartment home choices at Westminster Palms, including lovely penthouse apartments. It is expected to be ready for people to move in by Fall, 2010. Westminster Palms holds two well-attended informational seminars every month, and several apartments have already been reserved.
